John Susa was born in Brisbane. He earned his Bachelor degree at Queensland University of Technology. Prior to joining Trina Solar, he worked over 7 years in various senior roles at Siemens APAC.

Since joining Trina Solar in 2007, John has been a key member of the global management team driving the company’s industry leading growth and strong global brand presence. He actively campaigned for a move back to Australia to ensure Trina Solar plays a leading role in our clean energy future. John established the company in Australia, opened the national head office in Sydney, appointed RF Industries as a distribution partner and secured Origin Energy as a key customer, all of which has, in a relatively short period of time, successfully established Trina Solar as one of the leading PV brands in Australia.

In 2010, John led the Trina Solar team to secure the module supply contract for Australia’s largest PV installation, the 1.2MW project and R&D partnership with University of Queensland. In 2011, John was instrumental in convincing the Trina Solar global R&D team to invest in a partnership with the Australian National University in Canberra, ensuring Trina Solar’s next generation cell technology is now being developed here in Australia.
