The clean energy industry continues to evolve towards playing its significant role in Australia’s mainstream industrial landscape. 2009, has emerged as the most crucial in the Australian sector’s history.
It is a year defined by the implementation of national renewable energy target legislation, deployment of other complementary measures to drive investment and technology development and the roll out of Australia’s carbon trading scheme.
As an industry we have needed to quickly evolve and re-organize to respond effectively to these opportunities and challenges - the primary motivation behind the creation of the Clean Energy Council (CEC) in 2007.
By providing a single, clear voice our objective is to accelerate the development and uptake of clean energy technologies and energy efficiency measures by driving the policy debate.
