Small scale wind workshop - Monday 27 June

Chris Briggs, State Coordinator - Renewable Energy Precincts, Premier and Cabinet, and Polly Mitchell, Policy Officer, Office of Environment and Heritage discussed initiatives under the Renewable Energy Precincts program to increase the uptake of small wind turbines, focusing on ways the NSW government can work with industry in the roll-out of the NSW Community Wind and Solar Map.
 
Guests also heard from Craig Memery, Energy Advocacy and Projects, Alternative Technology Association, on their Wind Assessor Course.
 
In addition to the guest speakers, the Clean Energy Council provided an update on our work in relation to standards and endorsements for small wind, as well as an insight into what the policy landscape might look like in the next few years.
