Federal government heat pump rebate

Dear CEC members,

We have just been informed that the federal government is about to adjust its rebate for domestic heat pumps from $1600 per unit to $1000.  The rebate will remain at $1600 for solar hot water systems.

Full details are expected to be provided by environment minister Peter Garrett this afternoon.

The change will come into effect from tomorrow.

We will continue to update you with more details as information comes to hand.
