Emerging Technologies Position Paper

Freeing up investment and stewarding all stages of the development cycle will be fundamental to delivering Australia’s formidable promise as a clean energy superpower and a world leading incubator of smart clean technologies.

Experience around the world has shown that grant programs, tax incentives and feed-in-tariffs can all play a role. There is no ‘one size fits all’ policy when it comes to pulling emerging technologies through from the drawing board to market.

The CEC has recently completed a position paper on emerging technologies, drawing on reports completed recently by Ernst and Young and Andrew Wait from the University of Sydney.
