Energeia has been engaged as part of the CEC's Future Proofing in Australia's Electricity Distribution Industry project to develop a scope of work to design and implement a standard for the connection of commercial-scale embedded generation in Australia.

The lack of nationally consistent grid connection standards for commercial scale generation, especially solar PV, has been an issue for some time. An industry-wide survey was released last week as the first part of this consultation.

Your participation at these workshops will be critical to highlight the potential benefits and opportunities that such a standard could deliver, while ensuring that risks are appropriately managed along the way. This workshop in addition to a Melbourne workshop on Wednesday 18 November will be hosted by the CEC and facilitated by Energeia with the aim to gather more detailed information for this study.

Registration is free and open to all stakeholders, although spaces are limited. Due to the technical nature of this topic we recommend people in your organisation with the most experience with grid connection processes and requirements attend these events.

Survey reminder: Don't forget to provide your views in advance via the online survey. It should only take about 15 minutes to complete.

This event is part of the Clean Energy Council-led Future Proofing in Australia’s Electricity Distribution Industry project which has received funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency.
