The Clean Energy Council announced today that Trina Solar, one of the world’s leading solar PV companies, has signed on as the major sponsor of Australia’s premier renewable energy and energy efficiency industry event, Clean Energy Week 2014.

Clean Energy Council Chief Executive David Green said that Trina Solar’s major sponsorship of Clean Energy Week 2014 was a testament to the company’s industry leadership.

"It's great to have a global leader in the manufacture and supply of solar PV modules such as Trina Solar as the Clean Energy Week 2014 major sponsor, especially at a time when Australia’s energy industry is at the crossroads," Mr Green said.

"Australia's renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors have a huge role to play in Australia's energy future, but decisions that are being made today will have a significant impact on tomorrow's energy mix.

"That is why, if your company is interested in what the future holds, you need to join industry leaders like Trina Solar at Australia’s biggest event for the industry, Clean Energy Week 2014."

Douglas Smith, Country Manager for Trina Solar's Pacific Region, said the company was excited to be the major sponsor of Australia’s leading clean energy industry event.

"As an industry leader, Trina Solar's commitment to the highest standards of quality and performance is matched by our commitment to developing the industry in Australia," Mr Smith said.

"We partner with the country's leading installers, wholesalers, engineering, procurement and construction companies, as well as project developers. This makes us a natural fit to sponsor Australia's premier event for the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors – Clean Energy Week 2014."
