The Clean Energy Council (CEC) facilitates a range of working groups for specific technologies or policy topics.
These working groups provide members (and in some instances, expert non-members) with a forum to discuss issues and guide the direction of the Clean Energy Council.
Often working groups form a sub-set of a directorate, in which case the views of the working group are fed through to the directorate and subsequently the Clean Energy Council's Policy and Advocacy Advisory Committee.
Once sufficient momentum builds, working groups evolve into directorates.
