Marine Energy

Australia's coastline offers one of the world's best marine energy resources and with around eighty per cent of the population living very close to the coast, this places the marine energy resource close to the point of demand.

As we move towards and beyond the 20% by 2020 RET, new technologies will need to play an increasingly important role in delivering a consistent low-cost renewable energy supply to the market. Additional support now for emerging technologies will play an important role in securing the least cost supply of renewable energy from all sources, over time.
