Our Mentoring Program

The Clean Energy Council is proud to be re-launching its Women in Renewables Mentoring Program in 2024.

The Mentoring Program helps women working in the industry to form connections, build lasting relationships across the sector and ensure they have the support needed to progress in their clean energy careers.

For mentors, the program provides a brilliant opportunity to join the Clean Energy Council’s commitment to championing gender diversity in the renewable energy industry.

More about the Mentoring Program

• The program will run for four months.
• At a minimum, participants are required to attend an introductory online webinar and meet with their mentee/mentor once a month for the duration of the program.
• We use a tailored matching process for pairing mentees with mentors, therefore, we cannot guarantee everyone a place each round.

Eligibility

Applications for mentees are open to individuals who identify as women and are currently employed by a Clean Energy Council member company.

Applications for mentors are open to both men and women working in the renewable energy industry who have an appropriate level of knowledge and experience, are skilled in developing others (e.g. through active listening, self-reflection, providing honest feedback and insight) and who are willing to provide guidance and support to their mentee.

• The Application process will open in early May; candidates will be able to lodge their applications through a portal link on this page
• Those candidates that have been successfully matched will be contacted at the beginning of June
