The Clean Energy Council is proud to announce the ten recipients of the 2022 Chloe Munro Scholarship for Transformational Leadership.
With over 200 submissions, each of the applications were reviewed by a scholarship committee and selected based on their demonstrated excellence in their field, commitment to the clean energy industry and leadership potential.
Each recipient will receive a fully funded scholarship to undertake one of two courses offered by Education Provider, Women & Leadership Australia. Three recipients will undertake the Executive Ready course, a seven-month development program for middle to senior leaders, and seven recipients will undertake the Leading Edge course, a four-month development program for early career leaders and managers.
The high number and quality of applications made the selection process very competitive. We would like to thank all applicants for their interest in the scholarship and for taking the time required to complete the application process.
I am driven to succeed in stepping into a senior leadership role in Technical Services, to help show other young females in the energy sector that there is a role for them at the top of the commercial ladder, doing work they trained for and are passionate about.
Senior Carbon Coordinator
Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation
My experience working with people in remote communities sharpens my will to help shape this economy. Hearing the keen interest of First Nations people, but also their frustration at the complexity of this emerging industry reveals both the potential benefits and pitfalls of carbon abatement.
Head Of Technical Partnerships
I see involvement in the Leading Edge course as not only instrumental to my own professional growth, but also an opportunity for me to filter any learnings through to those I mentor now and, in the future, especially those who will play a key role supporting female leadership and balancing gender inequality.
I aspire to be a role model and actively seek to contribute to building increased diversity within the industry. I would like to achieve this through growing into more formal leadership roles that enable me to contribute to systemic change in ways that support a triple bottom line of improvements for people, profit, and planet.
I feel having the opportunity such as the Chloe Munro Scholarship will give me more tools as part of my leadership journey to path the way to lead teams as a female leader in such a male dominated industry. To also aspire not only my daughter but the next generation of woman to promote change and lead with integrity.
The 2022 scholarship was made possible by the generous support of our partners.
