As part of our commitment to championing gender diversity in the renewable energy industry, the Clean Energy Council’s Women in Renewables program is proud to present a new opportunity for CEC member companies to sponsor a female student or recent graduate (not currently employed in the renewable energy) to attend one of our major conferences.

Conferences available to attend:

  • Wind Industry Forum, Melbourne – 31 March
  • Large-scale Solar Forum, Brisbane – 14 May
  • Australian Clean Energy Summit, Sydney – 14-15 July
  • Energy Storage Forum, Adelaide – 3 September
  • WA Clean Energy Forum, Perth – 19 November

This is a great opportunity for member companies to help support and develop our growing industry by attracting new talent and will provide a fantastic professional development opportunity for a young woman who may not otherwise be able to attend the conference.

Attending an industry conference is an excellent opportunity for a student to learn from the experts within the renewable energy industry, be exposed to our member companies and learn about the exciting opportunities the clean energy industry has to offer.

The Clean Energy Council will ensure the sponsored ticket is provided to a female student or recent graduate who is looking to get into the clean energy industry who has registered interest in attending the event.

For member companies

The benefits of sponsoring a student are outlined below.

  • Help to develop the workforce in our growing industry
  • Acknowledgement in Chief Executive’s opening address at the conference
  • Logo and acknowledgement on holding slides at the CEC booth and on the main conference screen during breaks
  • Member rate ticket price
  • Opportunity to connect with students and those in early career

Investment $350 (ex. GST)

To register your interest please email: [email protected]

For students and recent graduates

To qualify for one full ticket to one of the above events, applicants must currently be a student or recent graduate (not already employed in the renewable energy industry who would like to transition) at a Australian university and be prepared to provide a testimonial which will be used in promotional activity for the Clean Energy Council and the member company responsible for sponsoring the ticket. Travel to and from the event must be organised and paid for by the student.

To apply simply fill in the form and indicate which conference you wish to attend, with a short statement about who you are and why you would like to attend a Clean Energy Council industry conference.
