About the Role

Join a talented and experienced team dedicated to turning development phase wind, solar and battery projects into an operational reality at one of the world’s leading renewable energy developers. This role will support the Contracts and Risk Manager in administration, document control and project management, across a suite of legal documents.

This is an entry-level role suitable for a passionate person looking to begin their renewable energy career, or for a person looking for a career change. This role will be integral to the success of the legal function at RES Australia, and the successful candidate will gain exposure to a range of functions and stakeholders within the business. The role offers a good mix of autonomous, self-driven work and supervision/mentoring, within a passionate and highly skilled team.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, managing and maintaining due diligence data rooms (and associated Q&A process) for project sales and financings
  • Proof reading and comparing contract documentation for discrepancies, omissions and errors, highlighting and correcting issues where appropriate
  • Assisting with transaction closing meetings (including managing closing documents lists, preparing index of original documents, organising the closing room, arranging for photocopying, printing, binding etc
  • Take the initiative in the integration of legal documents into relevant document management systems
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary education
  • RES is looking to engage a candidate setting out on their renewables journey. The following areas of knowledge are advantageous but not essential, and will be developed on the job by the successful candidate;
  • Construction Contractso Service Procurement contracts
  • Contract administration
  • Previous corporate / construction / projects/ paralegal experience
  • Willing to undertake a wide range of tasks in order to support the team and contributing to the future success of the company as a whole,
  • Excellent time management, highly organised
  • A keen attention to detail, specifically when dealing with legal documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
