About the role

The Corporate Partnerships Lead is accountable for identifying, building, and maintaining relationships with our commercial business partners and exhibitors.

Key responsibilities include

  • Identifying new business prospects, creating compelling business proposals and pitches, and developing partnership opportunities through enhanced partnership experiences.
  • Developing and tailoring proposals to the needs of existing or new partners and exhibitors and identifying and developing further business opportunities or partnership arrangements.
  • Forecasting revenue growth and ensuring partners and/or exhibitors needs are managed internally in the CEC and that partners and exhibitors are accurately invoiced.
  • Ensuring partnership and exhibitor engagements are sustained long-term through the provision of outstanding service, follow-ups and exceptional account management that leads to the retention and renewal of accounts.
  • Identifying opportunities to deliver additional innovative partnership or exhibitor business solutions that meet the needs of partners or exhibitors and that increase our share of the potential revenues purse.
  • Ensuring the marketing or other content provided by partners and/or exhibitors’ is current and accurate and that all the agreed upon contractual benefits have been delivered within the contractual deadlines.

About You

You will have previous experience in managing corporate partnerships or in a commercial/sales client-facing role. In addition, you must have:

  • An ability to build successful relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail, organisational skills, ability to problem solve, and to prioritise multiple and competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, travel, and to work autonomously.

Desirable

  • Proficiency using systems including Salesforce, EventsAir, events planning programs, or similar.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing or business management
