The Business

RATCH-Australia Corporation Pty Limited (RAC) is owned by RATCH Group, Thailand’s largest electricity generation company. RAC owns thermal power and renewable energy sites and development projects across Australia and has exciting plans for further expanding the renewable energy portfolio.

The Role

This newly created role will provide strong financial analysis support for ensuring the company meets its strategic and commercial objectives.

You will be required to provide financial and commercial insights for development of the company’s strategic direction. The primary responsibilities will be

  • Evaluation of new investment opportunities and preparation of comparative, variance and cost benefit analyses; and
  • Manage forecasting, financial modelling and project financing whilst liaising with senior executives and project engineers.
  • Building and driving financial models for greenfield and brownfield energy projects
  • Pricing and structuring of corporate PPA’s and offtake agreements
  • Preparation of investment case for equity approvals across utility scale Wind and BESS projects
  • Portfolio refinancing; financial modelling, optimising debt sizing, negotiating terms sheet and SFA
  • Financial Due Diligence
  • Performing industry research and benchmarking assessments for capital projects
  • Developing and maintaining investment performance dashboards and summaries
  • Presenting to investment committees
  • Business valuations and DCF analysis

To be successful in this role you will need to be goal oriented with a team collaboration approach. Strong problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to form productive working relationships across all areas of the business.


Tertiary qualified in Finance, Economics or Commerce with a post graduate commercial qualifications such as ACA, CPA or CFA membership (or eligibility).

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial modelling with significant commercial acumen demonstrated by a track record of past successes measured by superior outcomes for all stakeholders.

Experience in the power industry or electricity markets would be an advantage.
