Development Project Manager

About the Role

This role will work within the RES Australia New Sites Development team, with responsibility for the identification of new wind and solar projects and managing their development through the early development phases. Day to day activity will involve project site identification, screening and selection, design, planning and environmental assessment.

Responsibilities

• Site identification using GIS across a suite of projects (Wind, Solar & Battery Storage)
  
• Manage relationships with multiple landowners on several projects.
  
• Build relationships and negotiate Exclusivity Agreements with landowners.
  
• Undertake environmental and planning assessments with the use of external consultants.
  
• Complete planning and environmental due diligence on potential project acquisitions.
  
• Planning and co-ordinating internal resources and external consultancy to deliver projects through feasibility and into the development portfolio.
  
• Travel throughout Australia on a regular basis will be essential with substantial driving required.
  

Skills & Experience

• Relevant tertiary education.
  
• Renewables experience desirable, will consider experience from other infrastructure.
  
• GIS software experience desirable
  
• Experience with community liaison & stakeholder management
  
• Commercial negotiation acumen
  
• Understanding of property agreements and negotiations
  
• Team spirit with the ability to build professional relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
