About the role

An excellent opportunity exists for an Education Business Manager to join the Clean Energy Council (CEC). As Education Business Manager, you will lead, develop and implement external education and training programmes for the Clean Energy Council (CEC) and associated stakeholders.

This position will see you developing and implementing education and training-related content, in addition to training strategies, for the Clean Energy Council (CEC) target markets. You will also be conducting market analysis, to identify education gaps and other revenue generating opportunities for the CEC. The role will also encompass reviewing and maintaining education content within the CEC course offering - driving continuous improvement and programme enhancement.

Key objectives of the Education Business Manager role are to:

  • Develop and implement education and training strategies for CEC target markets.
  • Develop new business arrangements and industry partnerships, while maintaining a strong customer service focus for current stakeholders.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify education gaps and other revenue generating opportunities for the CEC. This may include developing tenders, proposals, market analysis reports and business case development. Improve educative engagement with members, installers and key audiences.
  • Lead the generation of high-quality training resource materials to support CEC initiatives, including writing course development plans, research and content creation.
  • Drive enhancement and continuous improvement in education and training initiatives.
  • Develop education and training-related content for communications in consultation with the Marketing team including the writing, editing and sending out of e-bulletins, social media posts and website copy.
  • Review and maintain education content within the CEC course offering.


About You

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualification in business development, adult learning, education leadership, learning and development, or related discipline.
  • Several years' experience in a similar role in a training organisation, member organisation or business.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australia’s education and training system, particularly in relation to industry training and vocational education.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of strategic education and training.
  • Business management skills with a focus on stakeholder engagement and market analysis.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
