About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced data analyst to support our growth in providing financial modelling advice, as well as technical and commercial insights. Ideally you will have a minimum of 3+ years’ demonstrated skills and experience in data and financial modelling coupled with strategic commercial and business acumen.

What we are looking for:

You will have a proven record of strong mathematical, statistical, economic and analytical skills with a commercial and technical focus to develop data visualisations and deliver meaningful presentations for reporting. In addition, you will need to be able to demonstrate most of the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Demonstrated highly advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills and programming experience (Python, R, Matlab, SQL) and other programming languages
  • Advanced mathematical modelling skills of technical and financial concepts
  • Ability to analyse big data to systematically extract information
  • Excellent Microsoft Word & PowerPoint skills to convert your analytical findings into high quality reports to be communicated both verbally and in written format to stakeholders from business, government and industry
  • Passionate about delivering innovative, lasting and sustainable solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of energy markets, regulation and policy reforms
  • Experience in working on renewable, hydrogen, EV and energy storage projects would be ideal
  • Strong problem-solving abilities & keen eye for detail
  • Ability to plan and prioritise competing project outcomes, deadlines and deliverables – both individually and team based
  • Prepared to undertake thought leadership activities to advance the standing of the business via published articles and seminar presentations
  • Self-motivated and outcomes focused
