The Role
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Operations Engineer to provide engineering support, technical expertise and consulting and management services relating to wind farm operations to ensure that the Asset Management Division’s objectives are achieved.
Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyse and report technical performance of projects, including but not limited to; availability (time &energy), unplanned downtime, reliability, planned maintenance, fault analysis, power curve assessment, BOPperformance and power quality.
  • Recommend and implement technical performance improvements.
  • Responsible for producing technical reportsDevelop (in collaboration with the EPMO) both real time and month end dashboards to effectively report technicalperformance.
  • Monitor and evaluate equipment and system performance by examining and trending the results of monitoringsystems and condition-monitoring systems, reviewing equipment failures.
  • Participate, support or implement special projects and products with commercial application focus.
  • Assist in managing Generator Performance compliance with the National Electricity Rules. Mostly pertained to monitoring site power quality and ensuring the Generator Performance Standards are maintained.
  • Support the Compliance Manager in monitoring regulatory changes that impact technical operations of projects and implementing necessary changes.
  • Assist site managers with planning and execution of works as required.
  • Assist in managing the technical obligations under EPC, O&M, AMA, PPAs and Connection agreements.

    About you
    You will have:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience with wind turbines, and operational wind turbine analysis, SCADA and troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • .Ability to maintain effective and collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Exemplify personal drive, professionalism and integrity. Effectively communicate ideas, influence others and think practically.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
  • High-level organisation skills including well-developed priority-setting skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence and White Card.
