About the role
We have a unique opportunity for a Policy Officer to be part of a team that works with the clean energy industry on critical and transformative issues for the renewable sector.
The Policy Officer will support the Director, Distributed Energy to engage with Clean Energy Council members in policy development and to assist with the development, communication, and advocacy for policies in relation to distributed energy and distribution networks.
This role will be responsible for documenting Clean Energy Council’s policy position along with the development and delivery of any relevant programs, for the recycling and reuse of end-of-life PV panels.
About You
This role would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role with proven skills in policy development and implementation.
Ideally, you will be tertiary qualified (in a relevant discipline) with a broad understanding of government policy making processes and energy and climate policies.
Naturally, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and organisation skills to meet project deadlines.
You have a strong conceptual and analytical ability, to grasp concepts and complexity comfortably and have a genuine desire to learn.
Candidates who have had experience working in an environment providing advice to government would be highly regarded although not essential.
