About the Role

Join a talented and experienced team dedicated to turning development phase wind, solar and battery projects into an operational reality at one of the leading renewable energy developers. This role will support the Contracts and Procurement Manager in contracting the fundamental building blocks for renewable energy Projects, through procurement functions such as contract documentation, administration, document control and project management, and the development and maintenance of supplier relationship management systems.

This is an entry-level role suitable for a passionate person looking to begin their renewable energy career, or looking for a career change. This role will be integral to the success of the procurement function at RES Australia, and the successful candidate will gain exposure to a range of functions and stakeholders within the business. The role offers a good mix of autonomous, self-driven work and supervision/mentoring, within a fun, passionate and highly skilled team. With supportive and inclusive leadership, this role provides an opportunity for career growth within a continuous learning environment.


  • Assisting with procurement contracts and associated legal documentation, including amending draftcontracts. There is also opportunity to draft and negotiate contracts or relevant schedules.
  • Managing tender materials from suppliers and assisting with reviewing and collating comments ontenders, as well as assisting on the final selection process.
  • Document management and organisation, including being the primary point of contact for internal andexternal stakeholders looking for information or status updates regarding procurement documents formajor projects.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law, Science, or Engineering, or other equivalent qualification. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Microsoft Office, including creation and maintenance of complex spreadsheets in Excel
  • Basic project management concepts
  • RES is looking to engage a candidate setting out on their renewables journey. The following areas of knowledge are advantageous but not essential, and will be developed on the job by the successful candidate;
  • Construction Contracts
  • Service Procurement contracts
  • Contract administration
  • Excellent time management, highly organised and passionate about creating efficient processes and
  • A keen attention to detail, specifically when dealing with technical and legal documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
