We are recruiting a Wind Engineer / Technical Leader to support prospecting, resource and site assessment, development, construction and operation of our growing pipeline. The location for this role is flexible across our hubs with a preference for Brisbane.

In this role you will:

  • Provision engineering input into the assessment, development, construction, and operation of renewable generation and storage opportunities
  • Undertake wind and solar resource assessments, including design of measurement campaigns, data quality control, energy yield analysis and layout design
  • Oversee wind and solar resource measurement campaigns, ensuring that monitoring equipment is well maintained, and data integrity assured
  • Undertake site visits to prospective and existing development projects to assess suitability, select locations for monitoring equipment and assist with development
  • Support project design and asset management, through GIS analysis and mapping
  • Develop or provision tools and systems to ensure the effective collection, use and analysis of critical technical data and information
  • Ensure that essential data, drawings and information is up-to-date, accurate, and available when required
  • Preparation of high quality reports, charts, and maps for website, internal use and stakeholder interaction
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for enhancement of GIS, data and information management systems
  • Supporting commercial review, drafting and negotiation of technical aspects of procurement and Construction and Operation and Maintenance agreements
  • Adhering to company policies with a strong focus on the environment, and health and safety. Leading safety in design

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • An experienced wind engineer with skills in resource assessment, design and analysis to support renewable energy generation projects (wind, solar, BESS, hydrogen)
  • Experienced undertaking wind and solar resource modelling using industry standard tools such as WindPRO, WindFarmer, WAsP, OpenWind and PVsyst
  • Extensive experience in the use of ArcGIS or similar GIS program
  • Graduate degree in Engineering or other related discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in resource engineering
  • Willing to travel and capable to travel to sites which will involve walking, and/or, driving off road across site etc
