Apply to be a judge at the 2023 Clean Energy Council Awards

The Clean Energy Council Awards are the Australian renewable energy industry's most prestigious awards, recognising the outstanding contribution that individuals and businesses have made to clean energy in Australia. Applications are now open for five judging positions for the 2023 awards. If you are an experienced professional working in the clean energy industry and want to help celebrate the organisations and individuals driving the industry forward, apply to become a judge below.

Requirements for judges

  • Applicants should have strong and broad experience in the clean energy industry including experience relevant to each award category: Collaboration, Media, First Nations Engagement and Participation, Diversity and Inclusion. Please note the winner of the Outstanding Contribution to the Clean Energy Industry will be chosen by Kane Thornton, Chief Executive at the Clean Energy Council.
  • Successful candidates will be expected to declare any conflicts of interest when reviewing awards applications. Judges will not be able to apply for awards themselves as individuals though their organisations and colleagues may; judges will simply need to declare these conflicts in decision-making with fellow judges.
  • Judges should be available to review awards nominations between 26 May 2023 and 26 June 2023. This can be done remotely.
  • Judges will receive a free ticket to the Gala Dinner on the evening of Tuesday 18th July at the ICC Sydney and will be expected to attend.
