CEC Events App

This page contains answers to some common questions about the Clean Energy Council's Event app.

Pre-event

How do I download the app?

Simply search for 'CEC Events' on the App store or Google Play.

What are my log in details for the app?

Before the event, all eligible attendees will receive an email from [email protected] containing their app log in details and relevant app code for the event. Please note, each event you attend will have new log in details. If you have used the app before for a previous event, you will need to log out of the app and sign back in using your new login details.

I can’t find the email with my log in details

Confirmation emails can often be sent directly to your junk inbox. Please check your junk folder for an email from the Clean Energy Council. The email will contain your app log in details for the event.

Did someone else purchase the ticket on your behalf? It’s possible the confirmation was sent to their inbox.

Once the above has been checked, and if you still can't find the email, reach out to [email protected] to have the email resent.

Please note: in the hour leading up to the event and once it has started, a reply to your email will be delayed.

How do I enable my details to be shared with other attendees?

Go to privacy settings– Select the information you wish to share with other attendees. The Clean Energy Council advises sharing the following details to make the most of the professional networking opportunities available:

  • Name
  • Title
  • Company
  • Email address
  • Contact number
  • My photo – need to upload or take a photo? Click on the profile picture icon on the app home screen.
  • Social media profiles – LinkedIn

If you have opted into sharing this information, this will then enable your full name, title and company to pull through in the Attendee list of the Event connections section. Please note, your contact details such as mobile number and email address will only be shared with attendees whose connection requests you have accepted.

Can I create a personalised program?

Yes, each attendee has the option to create a personalised program. If you have pre-registered for any functions at our events, these will automatically appear in the My program section of the app. Additionally you can add sessions you would like to attend, by clicking on the Program icon, and selecting the sessions which interest you. Once you have selected on a session, you will have the option to add this to your customised program by clicking on the 'Add to favourites' icon. This session will then automatically appear in My program.

During event

How can I connect with other attendees?

You can connect with other event day attendees by sending connection requests through the Events connections function. To do this, simply click on the Event connections icon, scroll through the attendee list, selecting the attendee you wish to connect with. Then click on the green invite icon to request connection. The selected attendee will then receive a notification to accept this request. If accepted, you will then be able to access their contact details, utilise the chat functions and arrange meeting invites.

Alternatively, you can scan the Digital Business Card printed on your event day ticket by using the in-app camera. Simply go to Event connections, click on 'scan', then select 'scan and connect' to open the camera and scan the attendees QR code.

At the conclusion of the event, click on 'Export' within the Event connections function to send a list of all your new connections and their contact details straight to your inbox.

How can I get involved in live sessions?

To ask a question, participate in live polls or join the discussion forum during a content session, simply click on Program, select the session you are attending and then click on the option you wish to get involved in.

How can I find my table number for pre-registered functions?

To find your table number for pre-registered functions, simply click on My program and then select the function you are attending. Here you will find your table allocation number.

Post-event

How do I export my new connections details?

At the conclusion of the event, click on 'Export' within the Event connections function and input your chosen email address to export a list of your new networks and their contact details straight to your inbox.
