Battery storage

This accreditation is for individuals who want to design and/or install battery storage systems that are connected to the grid.

You must hold grid-connect solar accreditation before you can apply for battery storage accreditation.

When you gain your battery storage accreditation, whether you are able to complete the design or install parts of the process will depend on your solar accreditation status. For example, if you are only accredited to design solar systems, you will only be able to design battery storage systems. If you want to do both the design and installation of battery storage you must hold grid-connect design and install for solar.

If you want to work on a battery storage system that is not connected to the grid you need to hold Stand-alone Power System (SPS) accreditation (above).
