The Clean Energy Council’s Battery Assurance Program includes a list of lithium-based batteries (energy storage devices) that meet industry best practice requirements.

The list provides consumers with independent information on the safety of home battery products that are independently tested to confirm they meet certain electrical safety and quality standards.

The list includes lithium-based battery system (BS) and battery energy storage system (BESS) products that meet the Australian or international version of the lithium battery safety standard 62619:2017.

View the list of currently approved batteries (energy storage devices).

The industry has developed a best practice guide for lithium-based battery storage equipment which is used for the requirements of listing a battery product on the approved product list.
