The number of Signatories to the Solar Retailer Code of Conduct has increased rapidly since its inception in 2013, with various state governments mandating the Code in their programs.
The Code was initially authorised by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) in October 2013. In April 2015, minor amendments were made to the Code with the ACCC re-authorising it for a period of five years in October 2015.
With this authorisation period coming to an end in 2020, the Clean Energy Council will be seeking a further re-authorisation of the Code and will be suggesting minor amendments to bring it up to date in line with industry developments.
