The Clean Energy Council’s Enhanced Listings Program is an initiative that differentiates solar PV modules that exceed the minimum standards required to be included on the CEC’s Approved Product List.
To obtain an Enhanced Listing, manufacturers must submit their products to rigorous independent testing that exceeds the minimum requirements of Australian standards. This allows Australian solar retailers, installers and consumers to easily identify higher quality solar PV modules and select products that are designed and tested to meet specific installation applications and environments.
Recently, the Clean Energy Council added two new categories to its Enhanced Listings Program, bringing the total number of categories to eight.
The newly added MAST Backsheet Durability listing identifies modules that have passed the Module Accelerated Sequential Test (MAST) protocol – a stringent new test that reproduces solar backsheet degradation seen in the field – while the JCU Cyclonic Testing listing identifies PV modules and arrays that have passed testing by James Cook University (JCU) to ensure that they will stay securely fixed to a roof in a cyclone.
The eight categories now included in the Enhanced Listings Program are:
Almost 22 per cent of the more than 3200 PV modules included on the CEC’s Approved Product List have at least one Enhanced Listing, giving installers and consumers the critical information they need to select modules of the highest possible quality and that are appropriate to their installation environment.
