Not every day is the same in hydropower

What started as a job of convenience became a ten-year renewable energy career working on some of Hydro Tasmania's oldest and most majestic sites.

Hydro Tasmania operates 30 hydropower stations around Tasmania. Leah Powell, the Area Coordinator in charge of overseeing the running and maintenance of stations on the west coast of Tasmania, has been working with Hydro Tasmania for over ten years. She first took the job for its convenient location in her hometown and stayed for the career development opportunities, excellent team environment, and variation in her role day-to-day.

Check out the video below to hear more of Leah’s story.
