The renewable energy industry’s record growth in 2017 continues as the Clean Energy Council welcomes its 100th corporate level member.
The Clean Energy Council is pleased to welcome Edify Energy as its 100th corporate member.
The addition of Edify Energy brings the Clean Energy Council’s total membership to more than 450 companies across all membership levels, which is an indicator of the strong growth that is currently taking place in the renewable energy sector. This year is shaping up to be a record year for renewables in Australia, with 41 projects committed to in 2017 worth more than $8 billion.
Edify Energy is an Australian renewable energy development and investment company with six large-scale solar projects currently under development. The projects, which are located in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, represent more than 400 MW of installed capacity. The Gannawarra Solar Farm in north-west Victoria will be the first large-scale solar farm to be constructed in the state.
The Clean Energy Council would like to mark this occasion by thanking all of its members for their ongoing support. Our strong membership base allows the Clean Energy Council to continue advocating for an effective policy and market framework for clean energy while promoting the industry and its achievements. The continuing uncertainty around energy policy in Australia means that it has never been more important to have a strong, independent body representing the interests of the renewable energy sector.
The Clean Energy Council’s current members comprise companies from a wide range of industries, including the energy, finance, engineering, construction and legal sectors. We encourage companies from all industries to become members so they can get expert insights into the latest developments in the renewable energy sector and be better represented in important clean energy discussions.
