The Age has reported that there will be a review of the Victorian Solar Homes program and a possible increase in the number of rebates available each month if the safety and quality of installs can be guaranteed.
On Tuesday the Premier stated, "I'm happy to look at expanding the amount of installs each month, but I will only do that if I can be completely confident that high quality will be observed and safety will be observed."
A review is welcome news to the industry, we know that the monthly rebate cap is hurting many in the industry. The CEC will continue to work hard behind the scenes with the Victorian Government to change the way rebates are distributed.
