Wind and Large-scale Solar Forums send the call out for speakers

The Clean Energy Council is putting the call out for renewable energy experts to speak at the upcoming Wind Industry Forum and Large-scale Solar Forum, which will take place in March and May 2019 respectively.

Clean Energy Council Chief Executive Kane Thornton said that he expects there to be significant interest in speaking at these industry-leading events following a fantastic year for renewables that has created more growth, opportunities and investment for Australians in renewable energy than ever before.

“Next year’s Wind Industry Forum will focus on hybrid wind solutions, construction, planning and wind measurement and modelling to draw attention to the wind industry’s strong position in Australia’s renewable energy landscape, while the Large-scale Solar Forum will cover all the issues currently affecting the large-scale solar and energy storage industries, including grid connection and transmission, investment drivers and technology trends,” Mr Thornton said.

“With the continued growth of renewable projects in the wind and solar sectors, this is a prime opportunity for experts to learn from each other and spark innovation.

“I expect that the conversations started at both of next year’s forums will continue after the events and lead to the further advancement of both the wind and large-scale solar sectors.

“Both of the 2018 events sold out well in advance, and I have no doubt that 2019 will follow the same pattern,” he said.

The Wind Industry Forum will take place on Thursday 21 March 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Large-scale Solar Forum will take place on Thursday 16 May 2019 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

More details about applying to speak can be found at cleanenergycouncil.org.au/callforspeakers. Applications for the Wind Industry Forum close Friday 16 November 2018. Applications for the Large-scale Solar Forum close Friday 30 November 2018.
