Event Terms & Conditions

Registration for all Clean Energy Council (CEC) events is via our online registration system. In order to ensure we have catered for you, including dietary requirements, please ensure you have registered at least three working days prior to the event.

Registrations may still be received after this time (subject to availability), however please note that in some cases event materials and/or catering cannot be guaranteed for last-minute registrations.


Upon completion of a valid registration, payment can be may via credit card. Payment must be received by the CEC prior to the event or admittance will not be permitted.

All prices listed are in Australian dollars and include GST.

Visa, MasterCard and American Express are all accepted.

In some cases, payment can also be paid by invoice. In this case an invoice will be issued and must be paid within 3 days. Payment of an invoice can be made online by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express or via EFT. All payment terms will be indicated on the invoice.

Failure to pay an invoice within 3 days may result in your registration being cancelled.


No tickets are issued for any CEC event. Confirmation, in the form of an email, will be issued upon receipt of your completed registration and full payment. If a change should occur to the event, including but not limited to a change of venue or time, you will be notified by email on the email address supplied during registration.

If you are registering on behalf of another person/s it is your responsibility to ensure that the Attendee is aware of these terms and accepts them, and by completing the registration you are warranting that you have made the Attendee aware of these terms and that they have accepted them.

Cancellation policy

If you are unable to attend an event, a replacement attendee may be sent in your place at no extra charge. Notification must be made in writing to [email protected] and be received 48 hours prior to the event commencing.

If you are unable to attend and cannot send a replacement delegate, a refund will be issued, less an administration fee, when written notification is received greater than seven days prior to the event.

Cancellation fees are:

  • 10% of the ticket price for all standard CEC events (ie. Member Mixers, etc.); or
  • $50 for events such as the Australian Clean Energy Summit and technical forums (ie Wind Industry Summit, Large-scale Solar Summit, etc).

When written notification is received within seven days of the event, alternative delegates will only be accepted. No refunds will be issued.

A refund will not be considered if an attendee fails to attend the event.

In person event attendees are required to adhere to the venue’s COVID-19 policy, check the event for more details.

In the case of the event being cancelled by the Clean Energy Council you will be offered a full refund of your ticket price. All event cancellations, or changes to scheduled events, will be communicated via email to the email address provided upon registration. It is the responsibility of the attendee to ensure the email addressed supplied is current and up-to-date.

COVID-19 policy

The Clean Energy Council recognises that our events are being held in uncertain times due to the global pandemic. Should last minute government-imposed border, travel or quarantine restrictions apply for an Australian state(s) and registered in-person delegates ticket holders are unable to attend in person, the following arrangements will apply:

  • all conference sessions will be live streamed to enable two-way interaction between presenters (in-person and virtual).
  • all delegates (in-person and virtual) will be able to ask questions in sessions through the virtual event platform.
  • in-person delegate ticket holders affected by COVID related travel restrictions will have their tickets converted to a virtual ticket with the ticket price difference refunded.
  • in-person delegate ticket holders affected by government imposed COVID related travel restrictions, who are unable to take up the virtual option will receive a full refund only if requested in writing at least one day prior to the commencement of the event.
  • all delegates (in-person and virtual) will receive links to recordings of all sessions to watch on demand following the Wind Industry Forum.
  • In-person delegates who become unwell with COVID-19 and unable to attend our events will have their ticket converted to a virtual ticket with the ticket price difference refunded.

Dietary requirements

We understand the importance of catering for specialised dietary needs. All reasonable dietary requirements will be catered for however this is limited only to allergies, intolerances, religious and ethical. Provisions will be made for the following dietary requirements: Vegetarian, Vegan, Lactose and/or Gluten Free, as well as religious beliefs. A surcharge may be applied for dietary requirements outside of these.

Marketing and promotion

Promotional or marketing materials may not be distributed at the event except by event sponsors and exhibitors in accordance with their sponsor or exhibitor agreement or otherwise with the consent of the CEC. Attendees violating this policy will be required to leave the event immediately.


Sharing of an individual ticket is not permitted for CEC events. The CEC reserves the right to remove attendees from any event where the ticket has been shared across multiple individuals.

The CEC reserves the right to prohibit entry to any attendee to an event, or eject any attendee from an event, based on behaviour deemed unlawful, inappropriate or offensive by CEC staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in and to the event content and all materials distributed at or in connection with the event are owned by the CEC and/or event exhibitors, partners, sponsors or speakers. Attendees may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any materials distributed at or in connection with the event for any reason without the prior written permission of the CEC.

Photography and filming consent

By registering for a CEC event you agree that the CEC may take photographs and/or film footage of you. Photographs and/or film footage may be used for promotional and/or commercial purposes, including for use on the CEC’s website. You agree that filmed material may be reproduced as film, audio or written material.

The photographs and footage will be used by the CEC, and will only be released to an external party for the purpose of promoting the event. You acknowledge that CEC has no control over, and is not responsible for photographs and/or film footage of you being lifted off the CEC website, or taken from a CEC brochure or other publication, and reproduced elsewhere.

Speakers and content

The views of all external presenters, facilitators and moderators at CEC events are their own and should not be taken to represent the views of the CEC. As the event organiser the CEC works with these individuals to ensure content relevance only and does not accept responsibility for how their views are presented or interpreted.
