The New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) program will set consumer protection standards for solar, battery storage, EV chargers and more.
The NETCC program will replace the Approved Solar Retailer (ASR) program in February 2023. The program will extend the existing consumer protection standards of the ASR program to also cover other new and emerging technologies.
The NETCC program is governed by a NETCC Council of peak industry and consumer bodies, and will be administered by the Clean Energy Council. We will support all Approved Solar Retailers in transitioning their business to meet the new NETCC standards and become New Energy Tech Approved Sellers. No additional application will be required. Further instructions will be sent in due course.
