The CEC has released a comprehensive scoping study on the development of a national guideline for the connection of mid-scale embedded generation, like solar and storage, to distribution networks.

The study demonstrates the need for and defines an approach towards a national guideline.

We invite you to attend a workshop with the authors (Energeia) and other key stakeholders to discuss the work’s analysis, recommendations and next steps.

The study consulted broadly with industry and recommended that an industry-led approach to the development of national guidelines would be the most cost-effective and timely way forward. It proposes a national framework for the guideline that encourages consistency while allowing some flexibility to accommodate location-specific requirements where necessary. The report also sets out a preliminary design and work plan to progress this work.

This project and event is part of the Clean Energy Council-led Future Proofing in Australia’s Electricity Distribution Industry project which has received funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency.

We hope you can attend, and will circulate an agenda to registered attendees closer to the event date.
