The Clean Energy Regulator has announced a new accreditation provider. Effective 29 February 2024, Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) is responsible for the accreditation of installers and designers. Visit saaustralia.com.au now to switch or apply for accreditation. |
Accreditation recognises people who have undertaken the necessary training to design and install solar, batteries and other renewable energy systems.
The Clean Energy Council managed the accreditation program for over 16 years until 29 February 2024, when a new accrediting body was appointed: Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).
Accredited installers and designers and those looking to become accredited should now visit SAA’s website for all accreditation matters.
We will continue to support the industry during the three-month transition period and will keep important resources available on our site here.
The rooftop solar and home battery industry is more important than ever to Australia’s clean energy transition, and we’ll continue to deliver strong advocacy and policymaking on behalf of our Members and strong consumer protections through the Product Approval and New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) programs.
View the obligations previously required under the CEC accreditation program.
As part of CEC accreditation, continuous professional development must be completed each year to ensure your technical knowledge stays up to date.
We will continue to report on compliance activity until the end of the transition period to the new accreditation provider at the end of May.
