Wind Industry health, safety and environment managers forum

The CEC is the Secretariat for the Wind Health, Safety and Environment Managers Forum, which is a network of health, safety and environment (HSE) practitioners working within the wind energy industry in Australia.

The group aims to promote HSE best practice of the wind industry in consultation with relevant stakeholders to improve HSE standards and outcomes across the industry.

Key focus

  • Have a lifecycle approach to wind assets to ensure safe construction and operations.
  • Develop a culture of sharing information and lessons learned amongst the industry.
  • Aim to hold an annual conference as a method to involve and communicate with relevant stakeholders across the Australian wind industry.

Achievements

  • The CEC became secretariat of this group in mid-2020.

Members

This committee is not a CEC group, therefore, its membership includes organisations that are not CEC members.

The forum comprises of owners, wind farm operators, wind turbine suppliers and wind industry contractors.
